Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that uses light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. Laser therapy is helpful for the treatment of cats and dogs with any inflammatory condition, including arthritis, tendon or soft tissue injuries, ear or skin infections, wounds, and following surgery to promote tissue healing. A thorough physical exam and in some cases, x-rays or additional diagnostic tests, is needed prior to starting laser therapy. After obtaining a diagnosis, our veterinarians will tailor a laser therapy plan for your pet. Most sessions last 10-15 minutes on a weekly basis. For pets with chronic pain conditions, laser therapy may be able to reduce the need for daily medications, and the pet may be more active and playful. Pets find laser therapy relaxing and tend to enjoy the treatment.
