We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable facility for your pet.
Our spacious, temperature-controlled boarding area ensures your pet stays comfortable, while our friendly and caring staff provides plenty of attention and care throughout their stay.
Should any medical problems arise during your pet’s stay, you can have peace of mind that our veterinarians will make sure they are treated appropriately.

Boarding Requirements
All boarding guests must be up-to-date on vaccinations. If your pet requires any vaccinations before staying with us, we are happy to provide them for an additional fee.
Health Requirements for Dogs:
- Current Rabies, DHPP, & Bordetella vaccines.
- Negative stool parasite test and heartworm test annually.
- Current Heartworm/Flea Prevention
- Must be free of contagious or communicable diseases.
Health Requirements for Cats:
- Current Rabies & FVRCP vaccines.
- Negative stool parasite test annually.
- Negative FELV/FIV test (annually for outdoor cats; once for indoor cats).
- Current on flea prevention.
- Must be free of contagious or communicable diseases.
Health Requirements for Puppies and Kittens (<6 months of age):
- Must be current on the recommended vaccine schedule for their age.
- Must have 2 negative stool parasite tests spaced at least 3 weeks apart to participate in Group Play.
- Current on heartworm and flea prevention.
- Kittens must have a negative FELV/FIV test.
- Must be free of contagious or communicable diseases.
Reservations are preferred, especially during holidays, but we can generally accommodate last-minute or emergency boarding needs. To ensure availability, please schedule your pet's stay ahead of time.
Our boarding facility is open for drop-off and pick-up whenever the office is open.
All Boarding, Daycare and Grooming guests must have an active Doctor-Patient relationship with Baxter Veterinary Clinic. Your pet will need to receive a veterinary examination if they have not been evaluated by one of our doctors within the year at a discounted rate.
Why Board Your Pet at a Veterinary Practice?
- In case of an emergency or if your pet needs immediate medical care, our veterinarians and medical team are onsite to respond quickly.
- If your pet requires updated vaccinations before their stay, we can take care of those before your pet's scheduled boarding date. If possible, please allow two weeks between vaccination and boarding.
- We offer veterinary exams or other medical services needed during your pet’s stay.
