Welcome to Overnight Care at The Inn!

We believe that when pets have exercise and stimulation they are happier and healthier, both physically and mentally.

Our canine guests enjoy off-leash playtime during their stay, with indoor and outdoor play options and playgroups that are tailored to your pet. Overnight canine guests will receive a complimentary social temperament assessment if they have not yet received one.

Our feline guests receive exploration time during their stay, either individually or with their housemate. We have many enrichment activities in the Feline Retreat, including various types of toys, large windows with bird feeders, and climbing/scratching posts.

All overnight guests must have an active Doctor-Patient relationship with Baxter Veterinary Clinic. Your pet will receive a veterinary examination at the reduced rate of $30 if they have not been evaluated by one of our doctors within the year.

Meals

Please bring your pet’s food from home, pre-measured and individually bagged/labelled for each meal.

Overnight care includes feeding two meals daily. Please let us know the name of the food and the amount given per meal along with any dietary restrictions or allergies that your pet (or family members) may have. Commonly used treats provided by our pet care team includes plain yogurt, peanut butter, Cheerios, cheese, and canned pumpkin.

Medications

Medications/supplements should be in their original container with clear and current administration instructions.

Overnight care includes the administration of oral medications/supplements twice daily. If the medication instructions on the original container are incorrect or illegible, please provide typed updated instructions so that our veterinary team can print an updated prescription label.

Veterinary Evaluation

Should your pet become sick or injured while in our care, one of our veterinarians will provide a complimentary examination. We will attempt to contact you prior to treatment if the medical issue is not life-threatening. If we are not able to reach you or your emergency contact, we will diagnose and treat your pet's symptoms conservatively. Any fees for medical care incurred will be the responsibility of the pet owner and are billed separately from boarding/daycare services.
