Dentistry

Just dog breath?  We don't think so!  Dental disease is often overlooked and can threaten the comfort and health of your pet. Because pets may not show that their mouth is in pain, bringing your pet in for a comprehensive physical examination is the only way to ensure detection of gingivitis, broken teeth, and tooth abscesses. Following this exam, your veterinarian may recommend a particular dental cleaning schedule, oral care routine, or special treatment based on your pet’s dental health needs.

At Baxter Veterinary Clinic, your pet receives the same standard of care that you would at your dentist.  We utilize an ultrasonic scaler, polish, fluoride treatment, and offer digital dental radiographs.  Oral surgeries can also be performed to treat diseased teeth, tumors of the mouth, or fractures of the jaw.
